Terri Jarrett Rice grew up in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. In high school she was awarded a Gold Key in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards for an etching in aquatint.
She attended college in Kansas where she studied pre-med and took a few art classes in silk screening and pen & ink. Moving to Miami, Florida she took her first watercolor class at University of Miami, a novice in a class of professional artists- a humbling, helpful way to learn.
Most recently she has her work on display at Artwork 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Moscow, Idaho at Bucer’s Coffee House & Pub.
She is also represented at Allied Art Gallery in Richland, WA
Terri has been painting for 30 years and has taught painting to children and adults in private classes and workshops. As a young mom, there were weeks when she let the house go to ruin while she and her children created masterpieces and crafts all day. Those sessions led to a blue ribbon at the county fair for a blackberry painting. Selling her paintings funds her need to buy more luscious tubes of color.
